Tarditive Dyskinesia

1968: George Crane published a seminal review that synthesized data from approximately 500 patients and officially brought the term "tardive dyskinesia" into academic circulation

The main cause of TD is chronic exposure to dopamine receptor–blocking drugs, especially antipsychotics and some anti-nausea medications. The risk is higher with typical antipsychotics, older age, longer treatment duration, and certain comorbidities.
