Of The Real There Is No Nonexistence
Of The Real = Existence = Law Of Thermodynamics
Bhagavad Gita is a spiritual and philosophical text, not a scientific one, so it doesn’t explicitly mention the laws of thermodynamics. But many thinkers and scholars have drawn parallels between the Gita’s teachings and modern scientific principles, including thermodynamics.
First Law of Thermodynamics (Conservation of Energy/Matter)
👉 “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it only transforms from one form to another.”
📖 Bhagavad Gita Parallel:
In Chapter 2, Verse 20, Krishna describes the soul (ātman) as eternal:
-
“For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. It is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, and primeval. It is not slain when the body is slain.”
Just as energy cannot be destroyed, the soul (consciousness/essence) only changes forms (through rebirth, reincarnation), not ceasing to exist.
The Bhagavad Gita (literally “Song of God”) is a 700-verse scripture
It is a dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra
Krishna responds with spiritual wisdom that covers dharma (duty), karma (action), bhakti (devotion), and moksha (liberation).
