World Head And Neck Cancer Day

 John Hunter (1728–1793), one of the most influential surgeons of the 18th century, is often credited with some of the earliest systematic observations and surgeries related to head and neck cancer.

  • Hunter described cases involving hard, ulcerative masses on the tongue, which modern medicine recognizes as oral squamous cell carcinoma.
