 Located in the anterior and inferior walls of the cartilaginous external auditory canal.Named after the Italian anatomist Giovanni Domenico Santorini.These fissures connect the external auditory canal with the parotid region.

The Fissures of Santorini, also known as the fissures of the cartilaginous part of the external auditory canal, are small natural openings or slits in the cartilaginous portion of the external auditory meatus (ear canal).
