The International Day of Cooperatives is celebrated on
the first Saturday of July. In 2025, this falls on July 5th. This
day, also known as #CoopsDay, is an annual celebration of the cooperative
movement, observed since 1923 by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA)
and officially recognized by the United Nations. The day aims to raise
awareness about cooperatives and promote their ideas of international
solidarity, economic efficiency, equality, and world peace. The theme for
2025 is "Cooperatives: Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Solutions for a
Better World"
