Shrinking Penis Syndrome 

Koro is a fascinating culture-bound syndrome historically described across Asia, particularly in Southeast Asia and China. It is characterized by an acute anxiety state where individuals believe that their external genitalia  are retracting into the body, leading to fears of death.

Singapore (1967): The most famous epidemic occurred in Singapore, when thousands of men panicked after rumors spread that eating pork vaccinated with “swine flu shots” could cause genital shrinkage and death. Many rushed to hospitals, often holding their penis with clamps or strings to prevent the imagined retraction.
