Boyles Law

 

Boyle’s Law (1662):

  • Discovered the relationship between pressure and volume of a gas at constant temperature.

  • Foundation of modern gas laws.

  • Founding member of the Royal Society of London (1660), the world’s oldest national scientific institution.

  • Left funds in his will for the annual “Boyle Lectures” to defend Christianity.
