Brugada syndrome
Brugada syndrome was first described in 1992 by cardiologists Pedro and Josep Brugada, building upon earlier observations of a similar ECG pattern. Initially, they characterized it as a syndrome of right bundle branch block, persistent ST-segment elevation, and sudden cardiac death.
"Brugada syndrome" was coined later, in 1996, when Yan and Antzelevitch described the cellular basis for the J-wave of the ECG
