World of Medicine - Research

When it comes to medicine it has been research and always will. No one knows how exactly things work. We are always trying to figure things out. God never chose to give the secrets of the human body to his creation. Either way we are all finding and learning something new on a daily basis. No one has a upper hand i guess when it comes to knowing things. It has so far been Seek and you shall find.

On the note of Seek and you shall find i have come across some cool conclusive research in the field of medicine which i need to make a note of.

Experiment 1.

A Dutch experiment recently concluded that working out a few hours after learning something can maximize brain boost. Subjects who hopped onto a bike after a learning session retained more information than those who biked right away. Physical activity helps body produce catecholamines/natural compounds that improve memory consolidation.

Experiment 2

48 subjects limited their sleep to five hours for five nights. A safe amount of caffeine (200 mg) roughly equivalent to 2 cups of brewed coffee and 5 colas improved alertness on the first two days. It made no difference compared with a placebo on remaining 3 days. Repaying sleep debt is the best way to restore health and function.

Experiment 3

A Norwegian survey suggests that close relatives of severely depressed patients may succumb to depression themselves. This may be because they are struggling with the powerlessness and the fear that their loved ones may die by suicide.

Experiment 4

It has been shown that gut bacteria reduces the levels of anxiety. - Experiment out of observation, not planned study - A group of rats had low levels of gut bacteria and were showing signs of anxIety. Researchers at McMaster, Ontario thought it to be due to a construction site near the building causing them distress. Over the course of time signs of anxiety  still persisted. They were then given germ feed/probiotics which increases gut bacteria. After giving probiotics signs of anxiety seized over time.

In short probiotics may help with you anxiety. I guess serotonin in the gut has got something to do with it. Patients on antibiotics may have signs of anxiety which should be looked at in a clinical setting.

Experiment 5:

Study done in Technical University Denmark revealed that slower passage of food through large intestine seems to increase the amount of harmful metabolites along the way. Signs that your food transit time could be sluggish include infrequent bowel habits and abdominal pain. This may raise the risk of colorectal cancer and chronic renal disease. Eating a fiber rich diet, drinking lots of water and exercising are ways of speeding it up.

Experiment 6

AHA Journal, Circulation concluded that around 45 % of heart attacks go unnoticed. The damage is discovered only during annual examinations, check up in which signs of poor heart health are shown. Silent attacks triple the risk of eventually dying from heart disease. Once detected they should be treated with blood pressure control and life style changes.

Experiment 7

Weight loss (Bariatric surgery) can induce remission in Diabetes patients. 2013 study by Medanta-Mediciti, Gurgaon India revealed that more than 90 % of  obese patients were able to go off their Diabetes medications following surgery.  Quick reversible fix for Diabetes i guees.

Over 100 million Indian will suffer from Diabetes by 2030. I can definitely fall in this stupid category. Wish that they can come up with a permanent cure for this life style illnesss. Indians have the genes for it along with lifestyle and environment that determine our Diabetes risk.

Bariartric surgery is a quick fix for now.  Only by doing experiments we come to know who we really are. I say eventually the answer is  Fragile !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brain and Research - Interesting Reads

When it comes to health many of the times people have different opinions. Everyday one can view a significant positive health observation or dietary FAD. No one really knows the actual fact that one can rely upon. Things change from time to time. I was going through a section of indecisive idioms which i feel can absolutely relate to observations in health.

Indecisive idioms : Not all of them will always make sense

1. The pen is mightier than the sword - Agreed
Actions speak louder than words - Agreed  again

In short Words and action both can make the same  difference.

2. What you see is what you get - Agreed
Dont judge a book by its cover - Agreed again

Yup, Do what needs to be done, Read the book.

3. Birds of a feather flock together.
    Opposites attract

Yup, Both have their significant importance. All laws of nature don't need to be agreed upon.

4. Many hands make light work.
Too many cooks spoil the broth.

Agreed on both of them. Again each has his own precedence.

5. Out of sight, out of mind
    Absence makes heart grow fonder

Amen to both of these lines.

I guess each has its importance with respective case scenarios. So the same is with health i guess. Each new FAD has to be tailormade to suit a persons primary health objective. In short if new things work one should stick with them. It is not necessary that it should work for all. There is no universal answer to any question is what i feel. All are entitled to their own opinion which makes us all different. All have their own distinct thinking apparatus which makes us all to put the world under a magnifying glass and come to a consensus.

Talking of thinking apparatus i have gone through some cool brain research and other medical research that has been going on lately. David Eagleman a neuroscientist in his article FROM THE BRAIN: THE STORY OF YOU talks about hacking our own hardware and as a result our brains don't need to remain as we've inherited them. I really don't understand what he is trying to say and for gods sake if one can hack my brain i am toast for sure. If i have the chance to talk to him i would like him to elaborate on the given line.

Anyways i have taken few points from his article and others to put in my curiosity notes.

1. Every human being enters the world with a remarkably unfinished brain. The reason to the given assertion is well known. Apart from that few know that animals do much better in this department.

For example Dolphins are born swimming. Giraffes learn to stand within hours.

Baby animals develop quickly because their brains wire upto a pre-programmed routine. However the preparedness trades off with flexibility. Inspite of seeming limitations that humans have on comparison with animals, humans have a advantage when it comes to flexibility. Humans have the ability to adapt unlike animals who need a given habitat.

2. A human brain is shaped by life experiences. It is live wired. Our flexibility derives not from the growth of new cells but from how these cells are connected. A babys neurons forms two million communications every second as they take information. By the age of 2 a child has over 10 trillion synapses. 10 trillion synapses is double the amount than a mature adult has. This peak represents far more connections than the brain will ever need.

3. Incredible blooming is supplanted by "Neural pruning.' As you mature through teens 50 % of synapses will be paired back. When a synapse successfully participates in a circuit it is strengthened. Synapses that arent used are weakened or eventually eliminated.

4. By the age of 25 only that a human brain completely develops. Even in adulthood brain can form new connections. The brain generated 10-15 watts of energy enough to power an LED bulb.Brain comprises of 2 % of weight but uses 20 % of oxygen and glucose.

Experiments done on brain forming new connections after 25 and their long term benefits.

Hippocampus is the area where memories are stored. This experiment was done on London cab drivers

London has 320 roadways and 25,000 individual streets. MRI scans done on London cab drivers by UCL London shows that Posterior hippocampus a area vital for spatial memory had grown physically larger than the hippocampus of the control group. In short whatever you have experienced has left a footprint on the nervous system.

Another experiment done by David Bennett Rush University, Chicago called Religious order study had 1,100 clergy members across the US. They had periodic medical and psychological evaluation. Experiment was to find the reasons of cognitive decline and study the common causes. Over the course of time as per their demise the remains have been collected. Over 350 specimens have been evaluated so far. Few samples collected had full blown Alzheimer pathology. Altough brain tissue ravaged by the disease there was no cognitive loss. What was concluded is keeping the brain active with mental exercise is protective. Doing this can build cognitive reserve. Results have also  shown that frontal lobe is vulnerable to degeneration with the effects of aging, Older adults who worked on board games have had a higher brain volume in cognitive function.

Other experiments done on nutrition, having heart healthy habits and exercise in relationship to cognitive decline showed better outcomes in cognitive function.

Well what i have to conclude is with brain forming more connections has a good outcome in a persons life. Apart from that you are what you eat and eating healthy too has shown to have a significant impact on brain health.

Experiences

Guess what the word of the year in 2016 is ????????????.

Post-truth: ADJECTIVE

Relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.

Eg in sentences; In this era of post-truth politics, it's easy to cherry-pick data and come to whatever conclusion you desire’. Some commentators have observed that we are living in a post-truth age’

Experts believe that 2016 was defined by this particular word. Mostly i guess it is because of Donald Trump taking office. Peoples emotions are reflected in the year 2016. As far as i am concerned this word has been in our daily lives for quite long. How many of us are really sure of the facts around us. I for sure dont know what the fuck is really going on in mainstream politics. The list can go on and on. I know for sure that i am not the only one . Very few people in today's world know the answer to that question.

Wink Wink: Yup Politicians as i will like to call them silver tongued shammers. They are the Movers and Shammers. This is how it has been and will be. Putting your full confidence in them is like putting your feet in your mouth. Silver tongued politicians have perfected the art of lying and many like them for what they are. Guess that makes all of us liars. Let me face the fact; My life is revolving around a lie and will. I should accept the fact that i cant do anything about it and i will live in the current madness that defines me.

All that i can do is resort to the quote given by Euripides. Question everything, Learn something and Answer nothing. These words will have relevance today and tomorrow and will not loose its significance. I should put full trust in myself when it comes to this particular quote.

I have few experiences that can relate to the point i make.

Literature has the power to heal when it comes to getting confronted with choices of survival. Literature can make you walk through the pages of history. History is what has defined us as it has left its obvious traces behind. All we have to do is to go down the memory lane to get really acquainted with who we are and what has so far really defined us.We all know it in our own way. Literature makes you to realise that you are not crazy and makes you take the right informed choice by knowing what to do. Just by knowing what to do does not mean it is the right thing. People tend to lie and your actions are based on the people who lie.

I have a example to prove my point and i often remind my current knowledge with this particular movie The Imitation Game. The movie makes it clear that it has been inspired by a true story and the secret was released by the Queen of England. I never knew who Alan Turing was and his role in breaking the Enigma. I was not taught that in school so i don't know. By watching the movie i realised that it was Alan Turing who was responsible for major German losses during the war. I would have never guessed that Alan Turing was a brilliant homosexual who Germans loathed. I guess payback is a bitch for Germans then,

Anyways i had the chance to hear a Israeli war veteran Yonatan Berg speak and the point he makes with using literature. He usually finds solace by thinking of Psalms in the Bible and talks of Bibliotherapy that has been gaining popularity in his nation. Bibliotherapy is a therapy like psychotherapy that uses literature as a medium. With a country dealing with war and bereavement people have found a gut wrenching desire to articulate feelings/human experience with literature. People are trying to access the third voice that literature is trying to convey. Verbal communication takes a much better presence than the spoken word. I guess if this works to help a deranged person get back on his feet then so be it. Well this has been the scenario of using literature and finding peace.

Apart from the literature that one can use as therapy it is important that one should get his facts right is a point made by Shashi Tharoor. He gives conflicting views on the British Raj with his book An Era of Darkness which one would have never known otherwise. Literature can mislead at times if not dealt with facts is what he is trying to convey. I have jotted few points he makes during his talk and will have to read the book anyways at some time,

1. Thinking in the right direction. One should know where he has come from.

2. British Empire made its grounds with Globalisation. These circumstances have allowed me to be who i am.

3. British during its reign in India spread fear and terror in its own way. They were interested in making profits. Maharajas in their princely states taxed 15 % to the common man whereas the British charged 45 % as taxes.

4. Lord Ripon the Viceroy of India had a conscious policy of Divide and Rule. They seized India with a sword and a yardstick.

5. British imposed tougher sedition laws for those protesting against the British Empire.

6. Railways laid were a colonial scam to loot India's wealth. His book has a series of arguments that makes us to think of the impact the British Raj had on us a society which makes us who we are.

Apart from that he discussed that British exploits were not racial in nature otherwise. Ireland suffered huge looses and cruelty beyond belief under the British. Many Irish had to flee to America because of the conscious policy of the British Empire.

This makes us to realise that it is nothing but than being a Advanced civilization and greed that has rocked the cradle of mankind.

On the same note on getting your facts right was another talk by Colleen Taylor Sen and Vir Sanghvi which spoke on Chasing the origin of curry. The theme was focused on the Indian palate and food for the soul. The points i got from this topic are

Well i need to cleanse my palate before i say Chicken Tikka Masala is Indian. Unfortunately it is not as per experts. No one would have thought that Chicken Tikka Masala is not Indian. From what i can recollect is Chicken Tikka Masala is a dish concocted in a British Kitchen. Mughlai cuisine has got nothing to do with the Mughals. Majority of them are restaurant dishes. They originated after post partition. Butter chicken originated from Tandoor. Indian cuisine is a collection of recipes unlike French cuisine which is a collection of techniques. French tribute cuisine to imagination based on ingredients unlike Indian food. Majority of the French recipes are coded which gives them the authority over Michelin rating.

Hence with this i can conclude Question everything, Learn something and Answer nothing.

World we live in should put you in a Dilemma.

Research done on Center of Attention.

I found this article interesting in a way that proves my Center of attention theory. I really appreciate that one is actually trying to quantify a theory which has been qualitative in nature. Qualitative for me in this case means numbers who feel the same (Majority/Minority). One apart from mental power to deal with life in general needs acceptance in society. Like it or not black people for now will be used as toilet paper to a clean a white mans ass.

Black in Sweden

A few minutes with Victoria Kawesa, participant at the well-attended international gender research conference recently held in Linköping.
You are working for your doctorate at the Department of Thematic Studies – Gender Studies. What is the topic of your thesis?

Black feminism and whiteness in Sweden. I analyse not only everyday racism but also institutionalized racism, such as is found in schools, workplaces and the health and medical care system. The thesis is based on several theories drawn from, among other fields, black feminism, and I also bring up my own experiences of being black in Sweden. I have lived here for 32 years.

What do you mean by “whiteness”?
Skin color matters, also in Sweden. The further away from white that you are, the darker your skin, the poorer are the life conditions offered. We have a power structure in Sweden based on race, where whiteness is taken as the starting point for what is human and right. This is not something that white people in Sweden think about, but it’s extremely obvious to black people. Just as we can talk about a gender-based power structure, we can talk about a race-based power structure. The way that white people view black people communicates ideas based on racial prejudices, based in turn on the way that white people have learnt to view black people, or the inverse – how they have learnt to view themselves as white, that they are the norm.

Have you any results for the thesis yet?
Not yet – I won’t be finished for another year. What I can say is that we have a structural racism in Sweden that can be measured by one objective measures. Afro swedes who have taken further education, for example, experience the greatest difficulty getting a job related to their education. More black people have been killed in recent years as a result of racist acts. Afro phobic hate crimes have increased in frequency more than other hate crimes after 2008. These crimes are often acts of violence carried out by strangers on the street.

What are your own experiences of being black in Sweden?
Living in a black body means seeing things that those who live in a white body don’t see. One example is being always aware of how one’s skin color is denigrated and seen as deviant. Always being aware that someone can at any moment threaten me, insult me, physically attack me. Never being able to relax when outside. But the question of race has been made invisible in Sweden.

The conference on gender research dealt with issues closely related to your thesis, such as exclusion and racism, and migration. You gave a talk at the conference. What did your talk discuss?
I described the civil rights movement Black Lives Matter that started a few years ago after several incidents of police shooting innocent black men in the US. I was one of those who brought the Black Lives Matter movement to Sweden, and I described the resistance with which it was met in both social and traditional media. I pointed out that it is generally believed that racism is not a problem in Sweden, but something that happens somewhere else. I explained that we must turn a spotlight onto these questions, otherwise the oppression and violence will just continue. I think that my talk opened the eyes of many people at the conference. The whole conference dealt with making important issues of our time visible.

Center Of Attention

If you want to succeed as an entrepreneur you also have to be a storyteller. Richard Branson.

Well i have a different take. If you want to succeed in aanything you should have a following like Justin Bieber and be the center of attention. Only if you fulfill the  above criteria you officially qualify in terms of having a presence (Social butterfly). Once qualified you are then designated as VIP (Very Important Person). This may not be true in every country will not be the notion. The fundamentals of the very concept will always be accepted and will gain momentum. If one does not fall in the category of a VIP you will definitely see things working at a snails pace. Like it or not those who dont fall in it will always face the brunt of the situation. I have unfortunately fallen into such a situation  and i definitely hate myself for not being a VIP. One needs to be a Big gun especially in a country like India to make things happen. A Big son of a gun will always without a iota of doubt will get his fair share of bootlickers. As i put it one definitely needs to kiss ass of his superiors to gain recognition. Like it or not all unfortunately have to do it. Many of the times i have to look up take a deep breath and continue with my ungodly masquerade. So basically this has been my general observation on how people around the world revolve around any significant accomplished person.

Speaking of observation i have a example that can prove the point that i make. In India many of us follow cricket. Indians are often recognised as die-hard fans of cricket. I may not fall in such a categoy but i do watch the tournaments that are significant. Speaking of cricket many would have flocked to see the MS Dhoni movie in which his conquest of the World cup and T20 that has been highlighted well by Neeraj Pandey. Indian cricket has gained recognition in movies and mainsteam media (Ads, endorsements, talk shows etc etc). Well this very Indian cricket run by BCCI has an ugly side too.

Indian Womens Cricket......... Seriuously who gives a shit when it comes to women playing cricket. I definitely would care less even if they play a game with arch rivals Pakistan for a coveted trophy. I would definitely say that i am not the only one. Take for today India Women Cricket team has a unbeatable six time record of winning the Asia Cup. Their recent taste of victory with Pakistan in the finals has hardly gained any recognition in media. Well this how it has been and will. Altough it will not reflect with men playing cricket. Men beating Pakistan will always take the center stage. If the Indian Mens Cricket team would beat Pakistan it would be on the front page of every newspaper with a catchy phrase saying Team India paints the sky blue. It is all about fan following that makes you the center of attention. Take for example with all i know about the recent ads there would not be one Indian women cricket team player endorsing a product. Mithali Raj Indian Women Cricket team captain would hate herself for not getting equal recognition or money as Dhoni. I would definitely hate him if i were her. Another example is the Phogat sisters. None would know if Aamir Khan would not make a movie on them. Their achievements will be swept under the rug.

This makes me to prove my point that we live in a partisan  community. Inspite of knowing how the world revolves and not make a change one must not come up with tags such as identifying one as a Feminist. One should learn to not give a shit with people who identify themselves as a Feminist. The movie Talaash too  made a point  with the case of a prostitute not being privileged. She acknowledges to the fact that one needs to be a member of the White collar community. No wonder Prostitution is the oldest profession that the world has to offer. Animals i must say are luckier than humans. There will not be a shred of evidence which points to the fact that makes human beings any superior. One must acknowledge the fact that men have been inbred and will always behave like an inbred. This attitude does not resonate in sports but in every dirty little facet of the society. Only a serious change in the pattern of thinking will make a difference in the world which we live in. So i was lucky to observe a tete a tete conversation with Leander Paes and his view on Sports and the whole personification of Indian sports in a whole. I have made a few pointers which i will like to always think about in day to day activities. It has good news and bad news.

Good news.
1. Hunger is the key. One should have the intellect/power ability to think. On inculcating such virtues one should be mentally tough to believe in oneself. The hunger in the gut should burn hard enough if one needs to see himself as a world champion.

2. As said being mentally tough will not be enough. One should be rugged and fastidious in making the best out of pessimistic thoughts. Yous should be able to figure out with what needs to be done.

3. One should not get intimidated by people. Intimidation works and will make you feel less. It is all in the head.

4. Man is a creature of habit. Having a negative mindset will draw you towards negativity. One should have the ability to use negative thoughts and find a solution. If you channel your thoughts inorder to be a champion the creature of habiit will make you a creature of success.

5. One should eat drink sleep like a champion. Social connections should be kept limited with people who believe in you. People around who are not supportive or judgemental can do the opposite.

6. One should find the happiness in pain.

7. One should have the arrogance, humility in the willingness to learn. Should develop a good sense of EQ to deal with ups and downs.

Talking about bad news much has not been in favour but if one needs to succeed on should try to work around the system to get the work done.

It is and always will be 3Ds i guess to get a 3D taste of life (Determination, Dedication and Devotion). I guess this is the only way one can see a change.

White rabbit Red rabbit : Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour. Actor (Anurag Kashyap)

  fable
ˈ   feɪb(É™)l
  1. 1.
A short story, typically with animals as characters, conveying a moral.

  2. Well the word above literally does not mean a story although technically it is a story involving animals that conveys a story. Story telling by Aesop mastered the art of putting stories in a Fable. The best part of a fable is that it conveys some kind of morals or a life lesson. Well if i have to ask myself out of the very few fables i know which story will fit me is a tough say. I know the tortoise and the hare that leaves the moral slow and steady wins the race. In real life too i have seen such scenarios. I have seen exceptionally talented young men who lost their way because of being the hare and not really taking it to the next level. I dont know what i am. The next story will be the Goose that lays golden eggs which states that being greedy can make you lose everything. The story is true in real life too when it comes to gambling. One should know where to stop. I will with the very few stories i know will take my life in the fable Fox and the grapes. I am the fox who is gifted to come up with a excuse for everything. In this case scenario  for me the grapes are sour as i can't climb it.The moral of the story is being lazy and not taking initiative will not take you anywhere. or else It’s easy to despise what you cannot have.

So recently i had the chance to see Red rabbit White rabbit written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour. I have seen many plays throughout the course of my existence acted in few but never have seen such a play that is so different in its very basics of a play. This play unlike other play is a surprise play in which the actor has never gone through the script and has to recite the script live and act spontaneously. I out of the lucky few had the chance to see Anurag Kashyap performing/acting live on a script which he never heard of. It is more like Dumb charades in which you act without opening your mouth but this is vice versa. In here the audiences get  the chance to perform with a Bollywood star. For me i am a die hard  fan of DEV D and to see him on stage was bliss though i could not act along with him. Anyways i have picked up my favorite line from DEV D which i say at times when needed Dilli mein Billi palna nahi Billi khana hain.

It was difficult for me to understand the whole story but it was definitely a fable that sends a moral. I have to see it again to understand it better as i found it difficult to understand. Well this is my version of how it goes based on recollection. The audiences in the theater start taking a roll call. The script has numbers designated in which the audiences of the given number can act along with the actor. Well the story goes like this, a red rabbit wants to make his way to see a circus that is being played in a theater. He has to cover his ears so that he can manage to get a seat. He somehow manages to sneak in. During the play the guard notices him as he left his ears visible to the guard. The scene played in the circus at that time was five cheetahs against the white rabbit and a crow hovering. He somehow manages to make his way in the circus in order to avoid getting  caught. 2 cheetahs out of 5 help the red rabbit to act and be a cheetah though he is not one. The red rabbit gets help from the audiences in order to  stay in the circus. The audiences are called up in stage and play their designated roles along with the red rabbit. The actor on stage has to choose between poison and salt in order to stay in the play. He has a choice to choose. The actor who performs it i guess is the white rabbit. He then goes into a flashback saying that his uncle had a similar problem and managed to find a solution. His main accusation was of the red rabbit making fun of him. He then devised a plan to get to the red rabbit. He starves 5 white rabbits in a cold container. They are starved but not left to die. They have been told that it is the red rabbit responsible for all folly. He then decides to paint a white rabbit red and see the fury unleash. At the end of the play all those who help the red rabbit from the audiences are tagged as red. The white rabbit then decides to choose between salt and poison and tells that the whole world is seeing what he is going through and no one is doing anything about it. He then decides to choose what needs to be done and the audiences leave.

This story definitely had a moral that i did not get in my head. I have to see it again once or twice to get at least  some kind of a understanding. When it comes to a fable below lines is what Napoleon Bonaparte had to say that actually ended up as a moral conveyed in a fable

“What is history but a fable agreed upon”. Napoleon's tragedy: Man who lives by the sword Dies with the sword.

  3. This makes him one of the very few men who live with their word and die with it.

Womb for Hire

Well i always loved the idea of "Virgin birth." I cant get things in order when it comes to having a child without coitus. It is very obvious that you need to have Semen or else women would stop having men around them. Lucky few in today's world have made claims on having virgin birth without a father. I guess it is invisible semen from heaven that impregnates them. Hence such lucky sons of bitches are called Gods children. 2000 yrs since then man has come up with the answer to Infertility with IVF.

IVF today is not always the method of choice to look at the choices available for infertile women. I would have never thought of Womb for Hire decades ago. Anyways Womb for hire has gained momentum worldwide. As per records there are 2000 reported children born out of surrogacy  in India every year. Referral alone to a surrogate clinic can earn you 30 K. The whole process to get a surrogate child is around 10 lakhs and 3.5 lakhs - 4 lakhs for the surrogate women to bear a child. In the West cost goes around to 120 K dollars. Anand, Gujarat has seen 1,400 cases of surrogacy. I always feel that human body is nothing but a treasure chest (Health). Many have it and few don't. People always prefer treasure no matter what the consequences are. Altough as usual mans greed has shown its ugly face even when it comes to surrogacy.

Cases: Few cases around India have recorded couples abandoning children with congenital birth defects after hiring a surrogate. People always tend to prefer a healthy child. Children born sick are left at the mercy of the state then. Abandonment has been cited a major issue when it comes to dealing with Surrogacy.

Manji a  surrogate baby child made its case in placing strict Indian surrogacy laws. She was to be abandoned when the mother decided  not to have her. Hence commercial surrogacy which was a fast growing industry that started a decade ago has seen its demise as per the new current laid Indian laws.

Indian law (Draft Surrogacy Bill) August 24, 2016 ban aims to prevent exploitation of surrogates as women are often coerced by their own family members to take up the  profession. Ban foreigners, overseas citizens of India from having surrogates in India. Apart from the reasons in mind the other pressing reason behind the ban is it to not be a  fashion for women who don't want to go the process of child bearing ( Older women who want to have a child but prefer the either route, Cases of celebrities were highlighted). Altough laws have been put in place this year when it comes to Surrogacy , (Altruistic Surrogacy) is something that one can proceed if it fits the criteria. Criteria for Altruistic surrogacy has been placed in law.

Demerits of Surrogacy: Women in need of child have to go through hell if they cant have one of their own. They are referred to as Bhanj by the inlaws and husband which creates a environment favouring surrogacy. Many women have benefited from surrogacy and few worst case scenarios have been reported. This proves Science and Technology has a slice of heaven and hell embedded in it.
