Womb for Hire

Well i always loved the idea of "Virgin birth." I cant get things in order when it comes to having a child without coitus. It is very obvious that you need to have Semen or else women would stop having men around them. Lucky few in today's world have made claims on having virgin birth without a father. I guess it is invisible semen from heaven that impregnates them. Hence such lucky sons of bitches are called Gods children. 2000 yrs since then man has come up with the answer to Infertility with IVF.

IVF today is not always the method of choice to look at the choices available for infertile women. I would have never thought of Womb for Hire decades ago. Anyways Womb for hire has gained momentum worldwide. As per records there are 2000 reported children born out of surrogacy  in India every year. Referral alone to a surrogate clinic can earn you 30 K. The whole process to get a surrogate child is around 10 lakhs and 3.5 lakhs - 4 lakhs for the surrogate women to bear a child. In the West cost goes around to 120 K dollars. Anand, Gujarat has seen 1,400 cases of surrogacy. I always feel that human body is nothing but a treasure chest (Health). Many have it and few don't. People always prefer treasure no matter what the consequences are. Altough as usual mans greed has shown its ugly face even when it comes to surrogacy.

Cases: Few cases around India have recorded couples abandoning children with congenital birth defects after hiring a surrogate. People always tend to prefer a healthy child. Children born sick are left at the mercy of the state then. Abandonment has been cited a major issue when it comes to dealing with Surrogacy.

Manji a  surrogate baby child made its case in placing strict Indian surrogacy laws. She was to be abandoned when the mother decided  not to have her. Hence commercial surrogacy which was a fast growing industry that started a decade ago has seen its demise as per the new current laid Indian laws.

Indian law (Draft Surrogacy Bill) August 24, 2016 ban aims to prevent exploitation of surrogates as women are often coerced by their own family members to take up the  profession. Ban foreigners, overseas citizens of India from having surrogates in India. Apart from the reasons in mind the other pressing reason behind the ban is it to not be a  fashion for women who don't want to go the process of child bearing ( Older women who want to have a child but prefer the either route, Cases of celebrities were highlighted). Altough laws have been put in place this year when it comes to Surrogacy , (Altruistic Surrogacy) is something that one can proceed if it fits the criteria. Criteria for Altruistic surrogacy has been placed in law.

Demerits of Surrogacy: Women in need of child have to go through hell if they cant have one of their own. They are referred to as Bhanj by the inlaws and husband which creates a environment favouring surrogacy. Many women have benefited from surrogacy and few worst case scenarios have been reported. This proves Science and Technology has a slice of heaven and hell embedded in it.
