1968 – Intel is founded in Mountain View, California.
Intel was officially incorporated in Mountain View, California, on July 18, 1968, by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore. They started operations at 365 East Middlefield Road, where the original team of about a dozen engineers quickly outgrew the space, leading to the company's subsequent move to Santa Clara in 1971.
