World Mosque Day

 The first mosque built in Islam is generally recognized as the Quba Mosque, located just outside Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Built in 622 CE during the Prophet Muhammad's migration (Hijrah) from Mecca to Medina.

Founded by the Prophet Muhammad and his companions.

Current Events

World Mosque Day is observed annually on August 21 to commemorate the 1969 arson attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. The day was designated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)
