   The Pioneer: Scottish inventor John Shepherd-Barron is credited with the concept.

 

 World ATM Day is celebrated annually on June 27th. The date commemorates the installation and public debut of the world's first cash dispenser, which was unveiled by Barclays Bank in Enfield, North London, on June 27, 1967 

The First Withdrawal: English actor Reg Varney was the first person to officially use the machine to withdraw cash.

The Limit: Customers were initially limited to withdrawing a maximum of \(\pounds10\) per transaction
