David Patey
David Patey (1899–1977) was a renowned British surgeon celebrated for his contributions to surgical oncology, particularly breast cancer and parotid gland surgery. He is most famous for developing Patey's operation, a procedure that profoundly changed cancer treatment.
Middlesex Hospital: Patey spent his career at London's Middlesex Hospital, becoming full surgeon in 1945.
The Patey Prize: The Surgical Research Society awards the prestigious Patey Prize to leading surgical researchers in his honor.
