 Lowenstein–Jensen (LJ) Medium is a selective egg-based medium used primarily for the isolation and cultivation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other Mycobacterium species

   Developed by:  Ernest Lowenstein and Kurt Jensen in the 1930s–1940s.
