Amygdalin is a naturally occurring cyanogenic glycoside, found especially in the seeds/pits of bitter almond, apricot, peach, plum and related fruits. It became historically famous because of its later promotion as the anticancer substance “laetrile” or misleadingly as “vitamin B17.”
