I have played the game Name Place Animal Thing as a child. Looking retrospectively i now regard the history behind it. What we are left to live with is memories that people leave behind. We acknowledge and prioritize them as per our needs. Human beings as a civilization is nothing but years and years of memories that people leave behind. We live our lives on the basis of past experiences. Experience is a comb to a bald headed man. In my case all i have to reflect upon is peoples experiences. Each and every human being has made the world we live in. We all will leave our traces and memories in this world in some way nor the another to make it a better or a worst place.
All of this has one thing in common. Years and years of mans existence has some extent of magic in it. I know that one mans magic is another mans engineering. In Spite of it there is something special in that man and woman who has come up with the idea. If one looks at the world very few people around us have defined it. Taking into consideration all who have done it have a unique style that belongs to the place where they come from. Ones unique style of innovation and creation is directly dependent on the people around them. I feel the water of any given geography/area has its own magic that creates the uniqueness.
Water as the main source of life creates the magic is what i feel. If there is even a trace amount of magic involved in human evolution the main ingredient in it has to be water. Water for me is magic because it can keep me alive for up to 3 weeks with no food.
I was looking up at the history of the city of Mumbai and few unique people who have left their traces behind. Mumbai is one place in which people from different places, religions, ethnicities have shaped and defined it. The influences of British, Jews, Mughals and Parsis etc etc are all over the city. If there was magic in their lives so it should be in ours. All one has to do is TAP IT.
Few examples in the city of Mumbai that have left their legacies behind that serve as a constant reminder.
Grant Road - Sir Robert Grant - Governor of Mumbai 1835-1838. He was the son of Charles Grant who was the director of East India Company.
Reay Road - Lord Reay - Governor of Mumbai 1885- 1890. He was the chancellor of Bombay University.
Currey Road - Charles Currey - Agent of Central India Railway.
Dadar - Ladder leading to the city - Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was cremated here - Indian Constitution and Dadar.
Sandhurst Road - Governor of Mumbai 1895-1900.
