Narrative psychology is the idea that people learn to deal with their own experiences by listening to the stories of others
They say that a smart man will learn from his mistakes, but a wise one will learn from others’ mistakes. I think that this is true.
Each story can teach something different, even among those meant only to entertain.
You live through a fictional character’s life enough, you will at the very least learn what not to do in your own. There is real, practical knowledge to learn from stories. Reading a variety of characters’ points of view can also open you up to a better understanding of the world around you.
The characters always learn some lesson; make sure you learn it.
Education dissolves prejudice, and getting involved in the narrative is a form of education.
