Blast From The Past: McDonalds

 

 

Richard and Maurice McDonald opened their first restaurant, named McDonald's Bar-B-Que, on May 15, 1940, in San Bernardino, California. 

Originally a BBQ drive-in, they retooled it in 1948 into a high-speed burger stand, establishing the Speedee Service System that revolutionized the fast-food industry
