Regalia

Regalia: The emblems or insignia of royalty, especially the crown, sceptre, and other ornaments used at a coronation.

All kings in the current Chakri dynasty of Thailand are often referred to as Rama. The name Rama was adopted from the name of the Hindu God Rama, an avatar of Vishnu.

The use of the name "Rama 'n'th" is in line with Thai practice of giving numbers to the king in the current dynasty. However, the translation was not exact and can give rise to some confusion as to whether this was actually the name adopted by the king on his coronation.

Royal Crown: Regalia

The Royal Crown means the crown of the dace in heaven where God Indra resides, and rules over the second heaven, Dao Dueng. In the ancient time, The Royal Crown was is a most significant regalia. Later, King Rama IV decided to follow the rule of the European Royal Household; a dignity of the king was recognized when he was wearing a crown. Since then, the Royal Crown has become the most important among all royal regalia.
