Befikre, Deep Water Horizon

So i watch these 2 movies and both of them in a way share a common theme. One has love in it and the another has work. They usually  say not to bring your home to work or work to home. Both have to be kept at their own respective places.

In the case of Deep Water Horizon a man bought love (home) to work. His love for exploration and digging oil led to making things from bad to worse. One has to blame him in a way because he being a executive of BP takes a wrong judgement and uses it to influence his  rig worker. Though not the controller of the rig and having no experience of rig management he takes the call. The movie revolves around a mans ambition and his desire to make profits which overrides his judgement. One should be absolutely certain to take a call. If not it can  turn into a total shitstorm is what the movie is all about. The rig eventually turned into a very big shitstorm.

If he should have striked gold it would have been a different thing unlike in this scenario it was a different tale to tell. The movie beautifully in detail shows the working of a rig and it being burnt down to pieces. The movie has a take home  message which revolves around judgement. Gambling is gambling and has no power of reasoning most of the times while doing it.

Befikre has a similar theme too. A stand up comedian makes Paris his home to make people laugh. He uses personal experiences like the show Seinfeld to get the message to his audiences. I liked the scene when he goes to the most happening club in Paris in a matter of few hours after landing. Many have women on their mind and this scene in a way proves the point. He tries hard and to his expectation it was not as easy as he thought. Luckily he meets a Indian girl and the story moves from present to past and past to present. The movie is trying to connect the dots since the origin to the end, In a nut shell eventually at a point in time they decided to break up and end it. Still there was a void which one was trying to fill up. No one at the end wants to deal with the inner subconscious thought which is not putting them in sync with the consciousness. This movie revolves around taking a decision.

If one takes a decision knowing the facts around him will be a good thing to do is what the movie is all about. When it comes to taking decisions using the help of ones consciousness,  i should be aware that not all of it taken in the right mind will work. These few lines by Jim Horning says it all

Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement.
