Center Of Attention

If you want to succeed as an entrepreneur you also have to be a storyteller. Richard Branson.

Well i have a different take. If you want to succeed in aanything you should have a following like Justin Bieber and be the center of attention. Only if you fulfill the  above criteria you officially qualify in terms of having a presence (Social butterfly). Once qualified you are then designated as VIP (Very Important Person). This may not be true in every country will not be the notion. The fundamentals of the very concept will always be accepted and will gain momentum. If one does not fall in the category of a VIP you will definitely see things working at a snails pace. Like it or not those who dont fall in it will always face the brunt of the situation. I have unfortunately fallen into such a situation  and i definitely hate myself for not being a VIP. One needs to be a Big gun especially in a country like India to make things happen. A Big son of a gun will always without a iota of doubt will get his fair share of bootlickers. As i put it one definitely needs to kiss ass of his superiors to gain recognition. Like it or not all unfortunately have to do it. Many of the times i have to look up take a deep breath and continue with my ungodly masquerade. So basically this has been my general observation on how people around the world revolve around any significant accomplished person.

Speaking of observation i have a example that can prove the point that i make. In India many of us follow cricket. Indians are often recognised as die-hard fans of cricket. I may not fall in such a categoy but i do watch the tournaments that are significant. Speaking of cricket many would have flocked to see the MS Dhoni movie in which his conquest of the World cup and T20 that has been highlighted well by Neeraj Pandey. Indian cricket has gained recognition in movies and mainsteam media (Ads, endorsements, talk shows etc etc). Well this very Indian cricket run by BCCI has an ugly side too.

Indian Womens Cricket......... Seriuously who gives a shit when it comes to women playing cricket. I definitely would care less even if they play a game with arch rivals Pakistan for a coveted trophy. I would definitely say that i am not the only one. Take for today India Women Cricket team has a unbeatable six time record of winning the Asia Cup. Their recent taste of victory with Pakistan in the finals has hardly gained any recognition in media. Well this how it has been and will. Altough it will not reflect with men playing cricket. Men beating Pakistan will always take the center stage. If the Indian Mens Cricket team would beat Pakistan it would be on the front page of every newspaper with a catchy phrase saying Team India paints the sky blue. It is all about fan following that makes you the center of attention. Take for example with all i know about the recent ads there would not be one Indian women cricket team player endorsing a product. Mithali Raj Indian Women Cricket team captain would hate herself for not getting equal recognition or money as Dhoni. I would definitely hate him if i were her. Another example is the Phogat sisters. None would know if Aamir Khan would not make a movie on them. Their achievements will be swept under the rug.

This makes me to prove my point that we live in a partisan  community. Inspite of knowing how the world revolves and not make a change one must not come up with tags such as identifying one as a Feminist. One should learn to not give a shit with people who identify themselves as a Feminist. The movie Talaash too  made a point  with the case of a prostitute not being privileged. She acknowledges to the fact that one needs to be a member of the White collar community. No wonder Prostitution is the oldest profession that the world has to offer. Animals i must say are luckier than humans. There will not be a shred of evidence which points to the fact that makes human beings any superior. One must acknowledge the fact that men have been inbred and will always behave like an inbred. This attitude does not resonate in sports but in every dirty little facet of the society. Only a serious change in the pattern of thinking will make a difference in the world which we live in. So i was lucky to observe a tete a tete conversation with Leander Paes and his view on Sports and the whole personification of Indian sports in a whole. I have made a few pointers which i will like to always think about in day to day activities. It has good news and bad news.

Good news.
1. Hunger is the key. One should have the intellect/power ability to think. On inculcating such virtues one should be mentally tough to believe in oneself. The hunger in the gut should burn hard enough if one needs to see himself as a world champion.

2. As said being mentally tough will not be enough. One should be rugged and fastidious in making the best out of pessimistic thoughts. Yous should be able to figure out with what needs to be done.

3. One should not get intimidated by people. Intimidation works and will make you feel less. It is all in the head.

4. Man is a creature of habit. Having a negative mindset will draw you towards negativity. One should have the ability to use negative thoughts and find a solution. If you channel your thoughts inorder to be a champion the creature of habiit will make you a creature of success.

5. One should eat drink sleep like a champion. Social connections should be kept limited with people who believe in you. People around who are not supportive or judgemental can do the opposite.

6. One should find the happiness in pain.

7. One should have the arrogance, humility in the willingness to learn. Should develop a good sense of EQ to deal with ups and downs.

Talking about bad news much has not been in favour but if one needs to succeed on should try to work around the system to get the work done.

It is and always will be 3Ds i guess to get a 3D taste of life (Determination, Dedication and Devotion). I guess this is the only way one can see a change.
